Applicants to Harvard's Divinity School must take the Graduate Record Exam revised general test. Though the admissions committee says grades, personal essays and recommendations are the primary criteria for acceptance, the GRE can provide valuable information about students' academic abilities, especially if they're making a career change from another field or did not complete a lot of.
The Harvard Chan School requires a minimum of 600 on the paper-based test, 250 on the computer-based test, and 100 on the Internet-based 4-part test (we prefer individual section scores of 23 or better). GRE scores are an important part of the application, but equal or greater weight is given to other components, such as grades and letters of recommendation. While the average admitted applicant has a combined verbal and quantitative GRE score of 1350 or higher, candidates with lower scores will be given serious consideration if other parts of the application are extraordinary.
In the fall of 2017, Harvard Law School announced that it would accept the GRE as an alternative to the LSAT from applicants to its J.D. programme. Many J.D. hopefuls wondered whether other schools would begin to follow Arizona State University and Harvard, and as of now, 18 other ABA accredited institutions will accept the GRE in place of the LSAT.
The 50th percentile represents the average, or mean, GRE score. The mean for the quantitative section is 151.91 (or 152); for verbal, it's 150.75 (151); and for analytical writing, it's 3.61. Those are, of course, average scores. Average scores vary depending on the academic field, but applicants should score, at a minimum, in the 60th to 65th percentile.
If admitted, you must submit an official GMAT, Executive Assissment, or GRE score. Columbia Business School’s GMAT and Executive Assessment code is QF8-N6-52, and its GRE code is 6442. The Admissions Committee will consider only your highest score when reviewing your application and will not combine subscores from multiple exams into a single composite score.
